Before Class

  • Wear comfortable clothing. You may be kneeling or practicing skills at floor level.

  • Arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in.

  • Most classes complete sign-in electronically using an iPad or laptop before instruction begins.

  • Bring a photo ID if required by your employer.

  • If completing a blended course, finish the online portion before your scheduled skills session.

For blended courses, the instructor will confirm your completion through the course portal or by reviewing your certificate of online completion before skills testing begins.

If you have physical limitations or concerns, contact us in advance or speak privately with the instructor before class.

Do I Have to Demonstrate CPR on the Floor to Receive Certification?

For most CPR courses, students must demonstrate chest compressions and required skills at floor level, as this reflects how CPR is typically performed in real-life emergencies.

Kneeling pads are provided during most CPR skill practices to help make floor-level training more comfortable.

However, we understand that some participants may have physical limitations or medical concerns.

If you have difficulty kneeling or getting on the floor, notify us in advance or speak privately with your instructor before class. We will work with you to identify a reasonable accommodation whenever possible.

Our goal is for you to meet certification requirements safely and confidently.
